Loving What I Do!

My name is Andy Gross and I am a stand up comedian, magician and ventriloquist that loves what I do! Since the age of 8 I knew exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up!

In fact I remember telling my parents at 9 years old, “mom, dad when I GROW UP I want to Andy Gross Picturedbe a MAGICIAN” to which they replied “you know you can’t do both” (grow up and be a magician) Well, years later and with their support I became a professional entertainer.

Today I perform as many as 175 shows a year at comedy clubs, cruise ships, performing arts centers, colleges, various Las Vegas venues and my personal favorite shows, corporate events.

Along with my magic at a young age I was also interested in sports and excelled at racquetball which became one of the hottest sports in the country. By age of 15 I was the youngest full time professional racquetball player in the history of the sport.

For the next 10 years I toured the country playing tournaments, exhibitions and endorsing products for some of the largest sporting goods companies in the world, when the sport was at its peak in popularity. During that time I always maintained my passion for comedy, magic and ventriloquism by practicing and performing at every chance I could.

At the age of 26 I retired from racquetball to pursue entertainment full time. I began working comedy clubs and cruise ships. I have worked for Disney Cruise Lines, the world famous Hollywood Magic Castle, The Improv Comedy clubs, performing arts theaters and corporate events throughout the world.

I have appeared on ABC, NBC, FOX TV and A&E channel. I enjoy working corporate events as it is always fun and exciting to combine their company message or mission statement in my show. I go to great lengths to create that perfect corporate show by combining my comedy with the company message! I like to work with the company representative before hand gathering as much information as I can so I can customize my act for each show.

People love the inside jokes on the employees and or bosses. My act uses a lot of audience participation and volunteers. I have worked very hard to create a show that is very clean and suitable for all audiences.

In 1997 I started a merchandise company with my brother David called L.A. Magic & Toy. When not traveling I help develop, create, import, distribute and endorse a line of magic, toys, jokes, pranks and Halloween items. The products can be seen in most toy and gift chains everywhere.

I am always looking forward to my next show and I am still constantly working on new material and perfecting what I do. I simply love what I do and working for some of the best companies in the world.
