The Vaudeville Cafe, one of the hottest growing comedy clubs in the South, announces the ‘Funniest Mouth of the South Comedy Competition’ in Chattanooga, TN with the first round on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. The first place winner receives a $1,000 cash prize and feature comedy bookings from one of the nation’s top comedy agencies, Funny Business.

“’Funniest Mouth of the South’ is designed to expose Funny Business to the newest and most talented comedians in the region, while allowing professionals to gather to learn and expose their gifts in the craft of stand-up comedy at Vaudeville Cafe,” says Vaudeville Cafe owner Chris Hampton.

All shows are on Tuesdays at 8:00pm with a 7:00pm check-in for comedians. The finals will be this summer, with an agent from Funny Business Agency present. Other celebrities and comedians will judge different shows and audience reaction will have influence.

The first place winner receives a $1,000 cash prize and feature bookings from the Funny Business Agency. Second place gets feature bookings from Funny Business Agency. The Third Place contestant gets Emcee and guest spots at the Vaudeville Cafe. Runner-ups will receive assorted prizes from sponsors. Registration for comedians is now open!
